As a team, we at Saputo Design developed an illustration style and hand-crafted design style to rebrand the BJ's Brewhouse line of signature and seasonal beer labels. We take the name of the beer and give it an illustrated hero either as a character or as an object, and we add details of ingredients to compliment the style of brew.

Client: Creativino
Creativino solicits whole brands for their clients; they often have new wineries come to them with a product that does not yet have a name. They ask designers to submit finished designs, and then the client chooses which design and brand they wish to purchase. Although this design was not the final pick, it made it to the final three picks out of hundreds.

I worked on this logo for the Saputo family. I am always proud to work on projects that honor family history and the recipes that family pass down from one generation to the next.
Client: Headquarters
I illustrated this logo for a friend's sound engineering company in Culver City. The owner has a basset hound named Humphrey who has become the resident mascot of the studio. This is one of the coolest logos I have ever had the honor of working on.

This project was created for a dear friend who is a wigmaker and make-up artist, and it is one of my favorite logos I have made to date. Her company name was inspired her grandfather, and she requested that I create a logo that would be inspired by his wild and distinctive hair. She also needed a simple business card and invoice that would incorporate her new logo and create an overall look and style for her brand. Using a wigmaker's canvas head, hand-lettered initials, and a black and white vector style, I was able to create something modern with a vintage twist that truly reflects my friend's personality.

When asked to illustrate a western man with the head of a deer and his three-legged dog for a logo, how could I possibly say no? Jennifer Phillipson and her excellent direction and typography skills are always a joy to work with.

For this project, we wanted a modern design with an illustration that gave a nod to turn of the century boxing posters. I decided to pull inspiration from the character of the Butcher (portrayed by Daniel Day-Lewis) in the film Gangs of New York. This logo is the result of excellent teamwork.

I love it when I get to try new illustration styles and this was a fun challenge. We wanted something almost realistic but still illustrative; classic but also modern and fun. Delicious!
